Material Processing

At Twin City Fab we have the ability to process your job from start to finish.

Because of our strategic relationships with different business around the Twin Cities area we are able to get very competitive pricing on aluminum, steel and stainless steel as well are more exotic metals. Most material we order can be in house within a week, and most likely the next day.

Once we receive the material we can process it in one of our four large band saws. We have one bundle cutting saw that is used for mass producing common parts with straight cuts. Our other saws are capable compound angle cuts to meet other sawing needs.

Should your project require punching or machining we are very well equipped to meet your needs. We have three large CNC Machining Centers, a Whitney Duplicator, and two Iron Workers.
We are also capable of shearing 1/4" plate up to 10' long.

Once all of the pieces or your project are completed we can TIG, MIG, or robotically weld them together. We have number of state-of-the-art MIG and TIG welders.

Machining

Twin City Fab is adept at machining metals of all kinds, from steel to brass and beyond. We use our CNC Machine Centers and CNC Lathe for everything from creating brass mandrels from solid blocks to boring ultra precise holes for excersise equipment.

TCFI operates three machine centers on a daily basis, the newest of which is a state of the art YCM XV 1250a. The YCM is capable of lightning fast tool changes, and extremely precise machining; all of which translates to better parts for cheaper for you. 

With our CNC machines we can work on projects that range vastly in size, material, and end use.

Welding

Is it metal?  Then Twin City Fab can weld it.  We've got multiple state of the art MIG and TIG welders and the certified staff to run them.

CAD

TCFI has the ability to create shop drawings from scratch or receive them electronically if you already have them done.  We accept prints in .dwg format as well as .pdf. We are also able to open and view all .jpg, .tiff, .AI and other graphic design files.

Field Installation

From time to time we get asked to install some of the products we manufacture.  We have a fully equiped fabrication trailer that allows us to run welders, grinders, plasma cutters, core drills, hand bandsaws, and any other tool the job requires.  

We recently had a crew of three workers on a job site for several months installing stairways, secure storage units, railings and other structural steel components that we fabricated in house.

Forming

TCFI has a 175 ton CNC press brake that is capable of bending parts up to 12' long in addition to smaller and more complex parts. We also have a large number and variety of dies to meet almost any need imagineable.

Having a CNC brake enables us to store programs and save costs, which we can then pass on to our customers, on production parts.

Sawing

TCFI has multiple CNC band saws that can cut any material to any length, at an angle.  Our upcut saw enables to us precisely cut aluminum at quickly to get your job moving even faster.  We also have a variety of specialty saws to meet unique needs that a larger saw would be otherwise unable to cut.
